Revelation 2:1-7

John 15:12“This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you."
In Revelation 2:1-7, we encounter the first of Jesus’ seven personal notes to seven different churches located in Asia. Speaking to the church in Ephesus, Jesus commends them for being doctrinally strong but criticizes them for their lack of love for one another. As Pastor Doug Short continues his series on the Book of Revelation, we discover, in today's podcast, why it is that Jesus would threaten a doctrinally sound church with the removal of their lampstand if they will not repent.
We encourage you to visit our website, CRBCAngier.com, where you will find some helpful study questions to accompany today’s podcast in our blog section.

Revelation 1:9-20

In today's broadcast, we learn that the Book of Revelation was given to remind us that our future is in the hands of Christ. Christ is the First and the Last, the One Who died and is alive forevermore and He is the One Who has the keys to Death and Hades. Furthermore, this Christ is a Savior of love, mercy, and grace for those who are His. Firmly grasping these truths should drive away all fear and anxiety, and this was one of John’s goals in writing this book.
Because of Christ, we are able to join the Apostle Paul when he says in 1 Corinthians 15:54-55 “Death is swallowed up in victory. O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting?” Do you know this confidence that comes through faith in Christ? If you do not but would like to learn how you can, contact us through our church website at crbcangier.com and we would be happy to be of help to you. You can also find study questions to accompany today’s broadcast in the blog section of our site as well.

Revelation 1:4-8

Pastor Doug Short continues his series of messages on the Book of Revelation. In Romans 12, Paul contemplates what the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit has accomplished for God’s people. We learn from Paul that truth should lead to praise. In today's message from Revelation 1:4-8, we find John calling us to a similar response to the fact that the Book of Revelation was given to the church with tidings of grace and peace from this Triune God. Although Revelation contains some difficult truths, overall, this is a letter of love to God’s church, and our response should be one of worship.
For further reflection on today's message, we encourage you to visit our website, crbcangier.com., where you'll find questions to enrich your own study of the Scripture passages Doug covers in today's message.

Revelation 1:1-3
Because many Christians view the Book of Revelation as a book of mystery that is filled with hidden clues that need deciphering, they are reluctant to study it because approaching this book this way leaves them without hope of being able to benefit from their study of it. Pastor Doug Short points out that the Book of Revelation is exactly that- a revelation. As he delivers his first message of a series of messages in the Book of Revelation, we learn that this letter is intended to make God's truths clear to a church that has found itself in the midst of a hostile world and is in need of encouragement.
For further reflection on today's message, Pastor Short has provided a few questions for you to consider that are intended to enrich your own study of the Scripture passages he covers in today's sermon. We invite you to visit our website where you will find these questions: crbcangier.com
